NO PINK PONIES IS BACK!
Appears to be. Still says 2008 down there on the lower right hand side.

My nice Garena record of eleven straight wins was broken today. Yay. Because I left, with the host’s approval. Not to say that we didn’t have a good chance of winning. I am making inquiries right now as to how it turned out. Such trivial things now make up the bulk of the little entertainments of my life. The big entertainments aren’t entirely without pain.
Aha, I have received the response. They won.
Oh. Counts as win for me too. But my record of zero disconnects is broken.
I also had a DnD mini battle with Ashton today. Draft, 200 points. He won thanks to an incredibly impregnable bear with 25 AC, 95 HP that withstood something like thirty attacks over the whole game. I threw every unit at it and it wasn’t enough. Grumble grumble. My assassin squad dies in close quarters. Back to the Immolith!
What else…Nothing much. Don’t want to talk about choir. Haha. Tomorrow still got another one.
I don’t know when I’m going to start on the actual syllabus. My schedule for the week is packed with nerdworthy activities to do before school restarts. Like a congregation of the old Three DotA Musketeers at my house…I don’t know, I like to see people play without playing it myself, sometimes.
Thursday, I shall get down to some actual assignments, and Friday shall be a DotA marathon.
The only game that I regularly play anymore. I wonder when my cycle will taper off and die. It better do that when school rolls around.
I strangely can’t really wait for school to start. Without Chinese, it’s becoming a far more promising prospect. Then again, this could jinx the whole thing and I’ll find that I’ve somehow failed Chinese again. Incredible.
Speaking of Chinese – well, I only came regularly for the later lessons because of the new teacher. A mixture of pity and respect for her apparent goals, though she wasn’t exactly going about it the right way, as some other classmates would have attested.
…Please give me my 4.5 hour break again?
Okay. But not.

Got the disc, screwed up the macbook because in my arrogance I didn’t bother to read any special stuff for installation on mac hardware, and nearly lost half of my disc to a linux ext3 partition [Operating system error. What error?] before I smacked myself and realized that I could just reformat it with the repair utility on the Linux disc. [Disk utility strangely cannot see the Linux partition, despite seeing that the drive is 147 GB.]
Also, that would mean no Warcraft with Garena on the laptop, which is sad. So I’m reverting it to Windows, but with a bigger partition – I mean, I had to uninstall Warcraft to install Left 4 Dead (Which didn’t run smoothly either thanks to a low level unreplacable graphics card.) That is screwed up. People have been trying to get Garena to run on WINE for a year, though, but so far their efforts have been Sisyphean – the developers just roll out a new version of Garena and they’re back where they started.
60 GB should cut it.
Finished A Beautiful Mind [Two days. Damnit, I'm getting slow in old age.] and it’s quite inspirational overall, accounting for the really sad parts. Starting on Free Culture.
I’m appreciating my phone more and more. Even got Last.fm and the ability to save Youtube videos on it. Wonder how much further its capabilities can extend… At first I went on a game-getting spree before realizing that I don’t really feel the urge to play many games anymore. Maybe if they had nethack for Symbian – but they don’t seem to, aside from a few unfinished projects.
I really want an external hard disk. You can never have enough storage.
New Year’s Resolution is…an oxymoron that’s not quite an oxymoron. I have none. It is a ridiculous concept and I hope it burns for eternity.
